Sat, 2014-05-03 21:44

Right now I'm playing Friday and Saturday nights at the Algonquin from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. I get to play their beautiful grand piano in the gallery outside the bar. Very lovely setting. Come on out and have a drink and a listen!

The show tonight is now going to be at Sunbury Shores, due to rain.  7:00pm.  Come on out for both me and my brother, Burnet McLean.  Music and Short Story.

Burnet and Chambers at Kingsbrae Arms

Sat, 2013-07-27 10:20

Last winter I had the pleasure of performing with my eldest brother, John Churchill a few times while he was visiting. This summer, my other brother, Benjamin Burnet is visiting for a week or so, and we were both delighted to book a show at Kingsbrae Arms as a fundraiser for Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre.  We'll be performing some tunes that we wrote together, as well as some of my own tunes, and being an accomplished actor, he'll even be performing a short story that he wrote! Should be a lot of fun.  Come on out on August 8th at 7:00 pm!

Farewell John and Jackie!

Thu, 2013-04-11 17:29

I just wanted to post a quick update to let you all know that my brother, John Churchill McLean and his wife, Jackie McLean, have headed back to their home in Calgary, AB.  We had a lovely winter together, and Churchill and I performed in Fredericton, Saint John, and St. Andrews a number of times.  It was a real joy to perform with one of my brothers, and to spend some long term time with some of my 'western family'.

Hands of a Bear

Mon, 2013-01-21 10:42

I've uploaded a recording of a song written by my brother, Burnet McLean, called "Hands of a Bear".  It's an old favourite of mine, and performed in a bit of a different style than his acoustic guitar version of it (which hopefully he records and uploads at some point in the future).  I'm going to post the lyrics here as they stand, because I think it's an excellent poem with powerful metaphors about love, loss, and regret.

Raise the Roof

Sun, 2012-12-16 15:47

Here's  link to a live version of Acres of Sand, played yesterday at a fundraiser for the Bayside Hall.  It was to raise money for a new roof on the hall, hence the name.  Thanks to Jackie McLean for video taping.

Music NB Week

Fri, 2012-10-12 10:30

I played last night in Moncton as part of Music NB week.  It was fun, and I got to hear some other musicians and meet some new people.  Should be a really great weekend of listening to live music and attending workshops.  My show can be found here:
